Las Vegas FatBoy Run 2016 5KCompleted Time: 34:30 Welcome To My Update! A sigh of relief is what I was thinking after completing both events. I know I have a long road ahead to reach that half marathon mark, but with patiences and consistency I know I can do it. I have learned that when we want something bad enough nothing in this world will get in your way. Our car recently decide to take a dive on us, so I was forced to get around by bus. I don't mind it, but what I do mind is the tardiness specially when you have to be somewhere on time. So I woke up early at 6:00AM, and made sure that all my gear was ready. This time I wasn't going to forget my running shoes or anything I need. I left my home around 7am and started my Journey on the LAS VEGAS CAT BUS. I was able to make it to my destination 3 buses later, I got there at 9:30am. When I arrive I was met by two gentlemen name Mike and Jason, they were both running the Grill. I have some great pic of the 2 chefs and their yummy food! check them out. After having a great conversation with Mike, I was asked to help set up the tables. So I went ahead and made sure it was done. I also have a great picture of the prize for all the top runners. Can you believe it, I was a winner. I complete this 5K in 34:33. My best personal time ever. I was happy to be part of this race and I was patiently waiting to meet the 2 people that made it possible for me to race. A big thanks goes to Sarah Mortimer & Kobbe Shaw. It was a pleasure meeting you. After the race was completed, I was able to enjoy enjoy the yummy food., and mingle with all the other runners. I will also include a link so you can view and download your favorite photos. I would also like to say thanks to all the runners and sponsor with out you passion for running this would not be possible. Till next year, see you in 2017! My last thanks goes to the lovely couple that offered me a ride to get to me next race. Thank you again. Without you I would have missed it! For More Photos: Please CLICK HERE

Hello Bloggers, Welcome back to my blog. I hope that you have been running and training for this years new races. I know I have. Last year I was able to test my limits by running my 1st 10K back in November 2015, since that day I told my self that 2016 would be all about running 10K's, and so far I was able to step up and deliver a 15K run (9.2 miles) I earned 2 Medals. Since my last competitive race I been slowing working on getting faster at completing my 1 mile time. Im currently between 14:50-16:00, I have added elliptical and cycle routines to my workouts, so I can allow my joints to rest from the impact caused by running. I highly recommend both machines. In less than 11 days I will once again set out to test my limits and new found distance. I have been training hard and I cant wait to leave it out on the road. I would like to stay thanks to the two companies that accepted my proposal to be sponsored. First off thanks to Sarah Mortimer & Kobbe Shaw for staying in contact with me to make sure everything is set for registration. I hope you earn enough money for your cause. Please visit tortoisegroup.org for more details. My second thanks goes to Blacklight Company, Im glad you have made Las Vegas part of this great event. What better city to allow your event to GLOW the night away. Thanks to Ryan for maintaining contact with me thru Facebook and email. I appreciate your support . Ok now lets talk about what I will be doing to get ready for this. I have currently taken a pledge to run 1 mile a day for 30 days. So this will make sure Im getting my cardio inn, on top of this I am also hosting a RIP run for a fellow K-9 Officer who was stab to death. RIP#AREN AREN's! event was a success! thanks to all those that participate. I glad people all over the place can come together and show their support by just getting out there and running. #youguysrock #RIP #Run2gether. Now with 2 days left, I still have my eyes on the price. I have added new reasons on why Im doing this and why I want change. Life is not about standing still its about moving and growing. So to keep me moving and my training going Im doing a birthday run for a special friend. His name is Elder Emerson Easley. He is currently fighting the battle with weight loss and is standing tall showing himself what he is capable off and at the same time he is helping other get motivate to make a change in their lives. Thanks brother! and remember you are not alone. _https://www.facebook.com/events/1696011720641717/As of today 2/11/2016 I currently weight my self and it was reading 298. I dislike scales because the weight always seems to fluctuated but no matter what I wont give up. Tonight I will be running my friends 5K around my home this will also help stretch my muscles. As of Friday 2/12/16 I will be working at Sport Authority helping the BlackLight team hand out all the pre race packets and also help register all new runner. So stop by and say hello! and never stop running always RUN4U.

I just wanted to write another short article about a simple trick I recently learned from a older gentleman while I was on my Saturday morning run. I was minding my own when he went out of the way to get my attention. I acknowledges him and said hello. next time I know I was having a conversation with him about weight loss and how he was in such top shape at his age, he was 60 and fit. He told to its good that you keep up your exercise regiment so that you can actively help your metabolism burn fat, how ever Im going to give you a secrete that was shared with me a while back. He then started to explain how I should every morning right after waking up, I should drink 1 cup of water at room temperature with fresh lemon juice squeezed in it. He guaranteed that if I did this consistently for a year, I would see a major difference in my stomach area. I took his advices and started to do this as of 1/1/2016, So I will definitely be making a follow up blog on this. Since then I decide to do my own research to see why this would work and it seems that lemons have very low calorie value, only 25 calories, and also have various benefits for our health. Lemons also contains vitamin C, but also have potassium, calcium, pectin fiber, and traces of vitamin A and iron. This helps us with the following.
So thanks for reading and I hope this information helps you on the way to reaching that desired weight loss goal. Jose Santos Weight Loss Mentor |
